USA Volleyball Open National Championships: USA Volleyball (USAV) is the national governing body for volleyball in the United States.  USAV has operated the open national championships since 1928 with teams from throughout the country playing in divisions based on skill level and age.  The 2016 tournament will take place in Orlando, Florida, from May 27 to June 1, 2016.  USAV will release further information at a later date.
  • The CCVC Teams: Our goal is to send 4 teams to the tournament.  The two collegiate teams consist of club volleyball players who earn playing honors during the collegiate club season.  The two other teams consist of alumni collegiate club players who earned playing honors during their time in college.
  • Hotel: The tournament is part of USAV’s “stay to play” policy, which means the hotel where the teams stay will be based on availability at the time of registration.  The hotel should be close to the playing site in Orlando.  Players stay 3-4 per room.
  • Cost: Players pay for their flight to/from Orlando.  In addition, players make a deposit to the CCVC to cover the cost of the entrance fee, hotel rooms, jerseys, and warm-up shirts.  Players also should bring additional money for food, taxis, and sightseeing.
  • Joining the Team: If joining the 2016 CCVC college teams or the Alumni teams to play in the USAV open national championships is for you, you can contact us to express your interest. All players need to have health insurance, and produce proof of insurance in order to participate. All players also need to sign a waiver and a code of conduct.
