2016 Women’s Ranking Panels – Seeking Members

Written by ccvcvoll. Posted in Uncategorized

There are over 40 women’s teams playing in California.  Only a fraction of these teams attend nationals and other large events.  Our overriding goal is to recognize all California teams and strengthen and grow club volleyball in this state.  The CCVC started the California rankings in 2014 because we believe it is important for all teams, not just the premier D1 teams, to be recognized for their accomplishments throughout the season.  We have already seen some of the positives:
  • Teams use the rankings to petition, and hopefully, obtain additional funding from their club sports departments.
  • Teams are able to tell family and friends about their California ranking.
  • Teams use the rankings as a recruiting motivator to recruit new players to play (i.e. join the #7 team in California).
  • Players use the rankings to apply for CCVC funded scholarships.
  • Players use the rankings as a way to apply to the CCVC trip to adult nationals.
In short, the rankings mean a lot to you and to us.  Our goal is to form diverse Ranking Panels as we believe it is important for all areas of California as well as all levels of play to have a voice.  If you have questions or would like to serve as a 2016 Ranking Panel member, you can contact us at ccvc@ccvcvolleyball.org.  We are looking for coaches and players to serve on this season’s panels.
