The women’s MLK tourney is taking place January 17-18, 2015, at UCSB.  Saturday’s pool play starts at 9:30am.   Sunday’s play features power pools followed by bracket play.  The pools for the weekend are:

The new January 30 Women’s D1 and D2 California rankings are posted.  Lots of changes from the preseason rankings due to all the great inter-league play between the NCCVL and Southern California at the MLK Battle of the Bay Tournament and the regional event in Southern California. UC Davis tops our D1 poll after beating UCSB (finals), Cal Poly (semi-finals), and San Diego St. (quarter-finals) at the MLK Battle of the Bay Tournament.  UCLA drops to number 5 after losing to UCSB at the regional in S0-Cal. Cal Poly II remains at the top of the D2 rankings after winning the Silver championship at the MLK Battle of the Bay Tournament.  Azusa Pacific enters the poll at number 2 by beating UCSB II at the So-Cal regional and by going undefeated in that event. The CCVC is proud to announce the launch of its scholarship program with the MLK Battle of the Bay Scholarship.  The CCVC is committed to providing awards that make it financially possible for student-athletes to participate in collegiate club volleyball.  Further scholarship awards will be announced throughout the competitive season.
